Maintenance Policy
Maintenance Policy
Availability of the latest equipment and proper infrastructural facilities is a prerequisite for creating a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning on the campus. With this aim in view, Malda Institute of Education & Training has formulated a Maintenance Policy to ensure effective maintenance, handling, and management of various amenities and resources of the institute.
- The Principal is in charge of all maintenance work inside the campus.
- Any maintenance or repair work that needs to be done is reported by the concerned teacher/non-teaching staff to the Principal through a letter or mail.
- Meetings related to repair and maintenance work are convened by the Principal as and when required.
- The Principal assigns a non-teaching staff member to address specific maintenance or repair work. If the task requires the involvement of external agencies, the Principal issues the necessary order.
- IT infrastructure/computers, institute website, Wi-Fi system, CCTV cameras, Biometric Attendance system, virtual classroom, LCD projectors, sound systems, etc. are either maintained by service providers or outsourced to external agencies through Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).
- The Librarian looks after the maintenance of the library and is assisted by the library staff. Fumigation and pest control are done in the library with the help of external agencies.
- Sports facilities are maintained by the Sports Committee.
- All electrical equipment, including generator, water purifier, pump, etc., are maintained either by external agencies on a need basis or under AMC.
- Maintenance of the playground is done by external agencies.
- Annual stock verification is conducted every year by the Stock Register Committee. They report on the status of furniture, laboratories, equipment, stationery, ICT facilities, library resources, sports items, and all other assets. All usable items are accordingly repaired and maintained.
