The Governing Body is the supreme authority of the institution, responsible for policy formation, administration, and ensuring the holistic development of the college.
The Governing Body shall:
- Uphold the vision, mission, and values of the institution at all times.
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance in all institutional affairs.
- Make fair and evidence-based decisions in the interest of students and staff.
- Support the Principal in implementing academic and administrative reforms.
- Oversee financial management and ensure proper utilization of institutional funds.
- Avoid any conflict of interest in decision-making or appointments.
- Promote equality, inclusivity, and gender sensitivity within the institution.
- Encourage innovation, research, and community development programs.
- Ensure adherence to government and university regulations.
Code of Conduct for the Principal
The Principal, as the academic and administrative head, is the custodian of institutional integrity and performance.
The principal shall:
- Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to staff and students.
- Ensure compliance with the statutes of the affiliating university, NCTE, and government policies.
- Maintain discipline, transparency, and ethical standards across all operations.
- Ensure timely conduct of academic and co-curricular activities.
- Foster a culture of quality enhancement and continuous improvement.
- Encourage faculty development, research, and professional training.
- Maintain cordial relations with the community, alumni, and external stakeholders.
- Safeguard institutional property and uphold financial propriety.
- Treat all employees and students with fairness, empathy, and respect.
Code of Conduct for Teachers
Teachers are the foundation of the institution’s academic excellence and moral strength.
Teachers shall:
- Be punctual, sincere, and dedicated to their professional duties.
- Uphold honesty, integrity, and fairness in all academic assessments and interactions.
- Guide and mentor students with patience, understanding, and empathy.
- Avoid any form of discrimination, favoritism, or harassment.
- Refrain from using classroom time for personal or non-academic activities.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs to enhance professional competence.
- Maintain confidentiality of examination and student records.
- Contribute actively to institutional committees and extension activities.
- Serve as role models of ethical conduct, discipline, and lifelong learning.
Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching Staff
Non-teaching staff play a vital role in the smooth functioning of the institution and in maintaining its administrative efficiency.
Non-Teaching Staff shall:
- Be punctual, courteous, and responsible in discharging their duties.
- Maintain confidentiality of office records and official correspondence.
- Provide prompt and respectful service to students, teachers, and visitors.
- Ensure accuracy in documentation, data entry, and financial transactions.
- Maintain discipline and integrity in office dealings.
- Refrain from misuse of institutional property, funds, or resources.
- Avoid unauthorized absence from duty and follow the prescribed leave procedures.
- Support the Principal and faculty in all academic and administrative activities.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude in the workplace.
Code of Conduct for Students
Students are the heart of the institution and must uphold its dignity through responsible behavior and academic commitment.
Students shall:
- Attend classes regularly and maintain the required attendance percentage.
- Wear their identity cards within the campus.
- Show respect to teachers, staff, and fellow students at all times.
- Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and decorum in classrooms and campus premises.
- Avoid any form of ragging, bullying, harassment, or misconduct—strictly prohibited under law.
- Handle institutional property, books, and equipment with care.
- Participate actively in academic, cultural, and community programs.
- Follow the rules related to examinations, library, and laboratories.
- Use digital and social media responsibly, without damaging the reputation of the institution.
- Report any grievance through the proper institutional channels.
